Is dual occupancy an available option?

Many of our properties across the UK offer dual occupancy on certain room types, which means you can live with your partner (or best mate if you don’t mind sharing a bed!) and experience a new way of student living.

What room types are available for dual occupancy?

Only Studio rooms, of any style, can be booked under a dual occupancy.

Do both residents have to be students?

Yes, to qualify for dual occupancy both the lead customer and the second tenant must be enrolled at university.

Do both residents need to pay?

There is an additional weekly charge of £20 per week for dual occupancy at all properties that offer studio rooms. The below properties have no charge for dual occupancy:

• The Boulevard
• Frederick House
• Dobbie's Point
• Newcastle 1
• St James point
• St James House
• Buchanan View
• Byrom Point
• Gibson Street
• Pittodrie Street
• Mealmarket Exchange

The below properties have a £50 dual occupancy charge:

• Merchant Studios

How do I book a dual occupancy room?

It’s quick and easy to make a dual occupancy booking!

1. When you have chosen your property and studio type, click ‘Book room’
2. In the ‘Additional information’ section of the booking process, add in that this is a dual occupancy booking and the name of the second resident. For example, you would add “dual occupancy with John Smith.”
3. Once you have completed your booking, you will receive an email from your property team asking you to complete a Dual Occupancy form with more information on the second tenant.
4. Send the completed form back to your property team, and we’ll do the
   rest!

What happens if one resident wants to cancel?
