Read on for terms of booking for current promotional offers at Student Roost

Hollis Croft VIP offer

Subject to these terms and conditions, customers who complete a room booking at Hollis Croft for the 2019/20 academic year between 08.30am on 19 March 2019 and 23.59pm on 31 May 2019 (“Entry Period”): 

(i) will receive a £100 Amazon voucher; and
(ii) will receive a free gift of either Beats Solo3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones – Neighborhood Collection or a Nintendo Switch or a GoPro Hero (2018); and
(iii) will receive a £100 supermarket gift card; and
(iv) won’t have to pay the £250 deposit; and
(v) can move in early for free; and
(vi) will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win their annual rent paid by Student Roost. 

1. To qualify a customer must complete a room booking at Hollis Croft for the 2019/20 academic year during the Entry Period for a minimum tenancy period of 44 weeks, be aged 18 years or older at the start of the 2019/20 tenancy period, undertaking a course of study at an institution of further and/or higher education in Sheffield during the 2019/20 academic year and check-in to Hollis Croft at the start of the 2019/20 tenancy period. Bookings can be completed online or in person at the Hollis Croft Marketing Suite on Gardiner Street, Sheffield. For a booking to complete the qualifying customer must have accepted the terms and conditions of Student Roost’s 2019/20 tenancy agreement and any applicable cooling off or cancellation period must have expired without the customer giving Student Roost notice of cancellation. Internet access is required. Bookings that complete after 23.59pm on 31 May 2019 will not qualify for this offer.

2. No deposit is payable by qualifying customers for room bookings at Hollis Croft completed during the Entry Period.

3. This offer cannot be applied retrospectively to customers who have already completed a booking at Hollis Croft.

4. This offer excludes bookings for the 2019/20 academic year referred through a nomination agreement.

5. Student Roost employees and their families are not eligible for this offer.

6. Rooms are subject to availability.

7. Student Roost accepts no responsibility for bookings not successfully completed during the Entry Period due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.

8. An Amazon voucher with a value of £100 will be sent to qualifying customers within 14 days of the start of the tenancy period set out in their 2019/20 tenancy agreement using the contact details on their booking. By making a booking within the Entry Period you give your consent for your contact details to be used to facilitate Student Roost sending the Amazon voucher to you. Only one voucher per qualifying customer is permitted. The voucher is personal to the qualifying customer and is non-transferable.

9. Student Roost reserves the right to substitute the Amazon voucher with an alternative voucher of equal value if for any reason it is unable to procure an Amazon voucher. No cash alternative is available. Use of the voucher is subject to the terms and conditions of the voucher issuing organisation. Student Roost is not liable for any loss or damage arising out of a customer’s use of the voucher.

10. Qualifying customers can choose to receive a free gift of either Beats Solo3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones – Neighborhood Collection (RRP £249.95) or a Nintendo Switch (RRP £279.99) or a GoPro Hero (2018) (RRP £199.99), subject to the following additional terms and conditions:
(i) Only one free gift per qualifying customer is permitted.
(ii) Qualifying customers will be contacted to choose their free gift within six weeks of the date of their completed booking using the contact details on their booking. By making a booking within the Entry Period you give your consent for your contact details to be used to facilitate Student Roost contacting you about the free gift. 
(iii) Student Roost reserves the right to substitute the chosen free gift with one of the other free gift options or an alternative item of equal value if for any reason it is unable to procure the item chosen by the qualifying customer. No cash alternative is available.
(iv) The free gift chosen by the qualifying customer must be collected in person from reception at Hollis Croft on check-in at the start of the 2019/20 tenancy period. Evidence of identity must be shown on collection of the free gift. If a qualifying customer fails to produce evidence of identity, they will forfeit entitlement to the free gift. If there is any doubt or dispute as to whether or not evidence of identity is satisfactory the decision of Student Roost will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into. If the qualifying customer does not check-in to Hollis Croft at the start of the 2019/20 tenancy period, they will forfeit entitlement to the free gift. 
(v) The free gift is personal to the qualifying customer and cannot be transferred to any other person.

11. Qualifying customers will receive a supermarket gift card worth £100, subject to the following additional terms and conditions:
(i) Only one gift card per qualifying customer is permitted.
(ii) Qualifying customers will be contacted to choose the supermarket they would like the gift card to be issued by within six weeks of their completed booking using the contact details on their booking. By making a booking within the Entry Period you give your consent for your contact details to be used to facilitate Student Roost contacting you about the supermarket gift card. 
(iii) The supermarket gift card chosen by the qualifying customer must be collected in person from reception at Hollis Croft on check-in at the start of the 2019/20 tenancy period. Evidence of identity must be shown on collection of the gift card. If a qualifying customer fails to produce evidence of identity, they will forfeit entitlement to the gift card. If there is any doubt or dispute as to whether or not evidence of identity is satisfactory the decision of Student Roost will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into. If the qualifying customer does not check-in to Hollis Croft at the start of the 2019/20 tenancy period, they will forfeit entitlement to the supermarket gift card.
(iv) The gift card is personal to the qualifying customer and is non-transferable.
(v) Student Roost reserves the right to substitute the supermarket gift card chosen by the qualifying customer with an alternative supermarket gift card of equal value if for any reason it is unable to procure the supermarket gift card chosen by the customer. No cash alternative is available. 
(vi) Use of the gift card is subject to the terms and conditions of the gift card issuing organisation. Student Roost is not liable for any loss or damage arising out of a customer’s use of the gift card.

12. Hollis Croft is a new development and will open in September 2019. Qualifying customers who would like to check-in early may do so from Monday 1 July 2019 to Saturday 14 September 2019 inclusive (“Summer Period”) but will be allocated a room in an existing Student Roost property in Sheffield, subject to these additional terms and conditions:
(i) No rent is payable during the Summer Period.
(ii) Rooms are subject to availability.
(iii) Student Roost may allocate a qualifying customer a room within any of its properties in Sheffield during the Summer Period depending on room availability.
(iv) To take advantage of this early arrival offer, you must email hollis.croft@studentroost.co.uk with your name, booking details and the date that you would like to move into a Student Roost property in Sheffield. At least 7 days’ written notice of your chosen move in date must be given. Student Roost will contact you within 2 days of receipt of your email to confirm whether a room is available and advise the check-in arrangements. Customers will also be sent a tenancy agreement relating to the Summer Period that they must accept to confirm their early arrival date. Qualifying customers are only eligible to move in to a Student Roost property in Sheffield during the Summer Period if they have (i) contacted Student Roost in accordance with this paragraph 12 and (ii) received an email from Student Roost confirming room availability and check-in arrangements. 

13. Qualifying customers will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win a discount equivalent to their annual rent, subject to these additional terms and conditions: 
(i) Only one entry per qualifying customer is permitted.
(ii) Qualifying customers at University Walk will also be entered into the prize draw, subject to the terms and conditions of the University Walk VIP offer.
(iii) There will only be one winner.
(iv) The winner will be chosen by random draw performed by a computer process on 30 September 2019.
(v) The winner will be notified within two weeks of the draw date using the contact details on their booking. By making a booking within the Entry Period you give your consent for your contact details to be used for the purposes of the prize draw and to facilitate Student Roost contacting you if you are the winner. 
(vi) The winner must be able to provide evidence to Student Roost’s satisfaction of their identity, age and student status. The winner will be required to provide such evidence before taking up the prize. If the winner fails to produce evidence of eligibility, they will forfeit entitlement to the prize. If there is any doubt or dispute as to whether or not evidence of eligibility is satisfactory the decision of Student Roost will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
(vii) The prize will be awarded as a one-off discount and will be applied as a credit to the winner’s account with Student Roost. No cash or voucher alternative is available. 
(viii) The decision of Student Roost regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. 
(ix) The prize is personal to the winner and cannot be transferred to any other person.

14. These terms and conditions are governed by English law.

15. Student Roost reserves the right to withdraw or change this offer at any time.


University Walk VIP offer

Subject to these terms and conditions, customers who complete a room booking at University Walk for the 2019/20 academic year between 08.30am on 19 March 2019 and 23.59pm on 31 May 2019 (“Entry Period”): 

(i) will receive a £100 Amazon voucher; and
(ii) will receive a free gift of either Beats Solo3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones – Neighborhood Collection or a Nintendo Switch or a GoPro Hero (2018); and
(iii) will receive a £100 supermarket gift card; and
(iv) won’t have to pay the £250 deposit; and
(v) can move in early for free; and
(vi) will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win their annual rent paid by Student Roost.

For a booking to complete the qualifying customer must have accepted the terms and conditions of Student Roost’s 2019/20 tenancy agreement and any applicable cooling off or cancellation period must have expired without the customer giving Student Roost notice of cancellation. Internet access is required. Bookings that complete after 23.59pm on 31 May 2019 will not qualify for this offer.

(iii) The supermarket gift card chosen by the qualifying customer must be collected in person from reception at University Walk on check-in at the start of the 2019/20 tenancy period. Evidence of identity must be shown on collection of the gift card. If a qualifying customer fails to produce evidence of identity, they will forfeit entitlement to the gift card. If there is any doubt or dispute as to whether or not evidence of identity is satisfactory the decision of Student Roost will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into. If the qualifying customer does not check-in to University Walk at the start of the 2019/20 tenancy period, they will forfeit entitlement to the supermarket gift card.
(iv) The gift card is personal to the qualifying customer and is non-transferable.
(v) Student Roost reserves the right to substitute the supermarket gift card chosen by the qualifying customer with an alternative supermarket gift card of equal value if for any reason it is unable to procure the supermarket gift card chosen by the customer. No cash alternative is available.
(vi) Use of the gift card is subject to the terms and conditions of the gift card issuing organisation. Student Roost is not liable for any loss or damage arising out of a customer’s use of the gift card.

12. Qualifying customers can move into University Walk between Monday 1 July 2019 and Friday 6 September 2019 inclusive (“Summer Period”), subject to these additional terms and conditions:
(i) No rent is payable during the Summer Period.
(ii) Rooms are subject to availability.
(iii) To take advantage of this early arrival offer, you must email university.walk@studentroost.co.uk with your name, booking details and the date that you would like to move into University Walk. At least 7 days’ written notice of your chosen move in date must be given. Student Roost will contact you within 2 days of receipt of your email to confirm whether a room is available and advise the check-in arrangements. Customers will also be sent a tenancy agreement relating to the Summer Period that they must accept to confirm their early arrival date. Qualifying customers are only eligible to move in to University Walk during the Summer Period if they have (i) contacted Student Roost in accordance with this paragraph 12 and (ii) received an email from Student Roost confirming room availability and check-in arrangements. 
(iv) Student Roost will use its reasonable endeavours to allocate a qualifying customer the same room during the Summer Period as has been allocated to that customer for the tenancy period under their 2019/20 tenancy agreement but reserves the right to allocate customers to a different room within either University Walk or Mealmarket Exchange during the Summer Period depending on room availability.

13. Qualifying customers will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win a discount equivalent to their annual rent, subject to these additional terms and conditions: 
(i) Only one entry per qualifying customer is permitted.
(ii) Qualifying customers at Hollis Croft will also be entered into the prize draw, subject to the terms and conditions of the Hollis Croft VIP offer.
(iii) There will only be one winner.
(iv) The winner will be chosen by random draw performed by a computer process on 30 September 2019.
(v) The winner will be notified within two weeks of the draw date using the contact details on their booking. Capital Gate Rebookers offer

Current residents at Capital Gate who rebook a room at Capital Gate for the 2019/20 academic year between 00.01am on 19 March 2019 and 23.59pm on 31 March 2019 (“Entry Period”) will receive a £25 Amazon voucher, subject to these terms and conditions.

1. To qualify a customer must currently live at Capital Gate (during the 2018/19 academic year with a valid tenancy agreement), complete a room booking at Capital Gate for the 2019/20 academic year during the Entry Period for a minimum tenancy period of 39 weeks and be undertaking a course of study at an institution of further and/or higher education in Liverpool during the 2019/20 academic year. For a booking to complete the qualifying customer must have accepted the terms and conditions of Student Roost’s 2019/20 tenancy agreement, paid the deposit and any applicable cooling off or cancellation period must have expired without the customer giving Student Roost notice of cancellation. Internet access is required. Bookings that complete after 23.59pm on 31 March 2019 will not qualify for this offer.
2. The offer cannot be applied retrospectively to customers who have already booked to live at Capital Gate for the 2019/20 academic year.
3. Existing customers who are in rent arrears or who are otherwise in breach of their 2018/19 tenancy agreement are not eligible for this offer.
4. Rooms are subject to availability.
5. An Amazon voucher worth £25 will be sent to qualifying customers within 45 days of the date of their completed booking using the contact details in their booking. By making a booking within the Entry Period you give your consent for your contact details to be used to facilitate Student Roost sending the Amazon voucher to you. 
6. Only one voucher per qualifying customer is permitted. The voucher is personal to the qualifying customer and is non-transferable. Customers in dual occupancy rooms are entitled to one voucher only.

Robert Gordon University Live Right Housing Fair Giveaway

All new customers who view the show flat and facilities at a Student Roost property in Aberdeen on the day of the Robert Gordon University Live Right Housing Fair 2019 will receive a £5 Amazon voucher, subject to these terms and conditions.

  1. This offer is open between 11.00am and 18.00pm on 19 March 2019 (“Entry Period”).
  2. To qualify for the offer a customer must view the show flat and facilities of Mealmarket Exchange and/or University Walk during the Entry Period, be aged 18 years or older at the start of the 2019/20 tenancy period and undertaking a course of study at an institution of further and/or higher education in Aberdeen during the 2019/20 academic year.

New bookings in Aberdeen – prize draw

New customers who book a room at a Student Roost in Aberdeen for the 2019/20 academic year between 19th and 22nd March 2019 will be entered into a prize draw to win a Union Square gift card worth £100, subject to these terms and conditions.

  1. To be eligible customers must complete an online room booking at Mealmarket Exchange or University Walk for the 2019/20 academic year between 11.15am on 19 March 2019 and 23.59pm on 22 March 2019 (“Entry Period”), be aged 18 years or older at the start of the 2019/20 tenancy period and undertaking a course of study at an institution of further and/or higher education in Aberdeen during the 2019/20 academic year. For a booking to complete a customer must have accepted the terms of the 2019/20 tenancy agreement and paid the booking deposit. Internet access is required. Bookings that complete after 23.59pm on 22 March 2019 will not be entered into the prize draw.
  2. Only one entry per customer is permitted.
  3. This offer is available to new customers only. Customers currently living with Student Roost are not eligible to enter.
  4. There will only be one winner.
  5. The winner will be chosen by random draw performed by a computer process on 1 April 2019.

Refer a Friend

The Student Roost Refer a Friend Scheme entitles existing and new customers who refer a friend to live with Student Roost during the 2019/20 academic year to receive an Amazon voucher with a value of £150, subject to these terms and conditions.

  1. This offer is open from 1 November 2018 to 31 August 2019.
  2. To qualify for the offer your friend must not currently have a 2019/20 booking in a Student Roost property. The offer cannot be applied retrospectively to customers whose friends have already booked.
  3. This offer is available for bookings for the 2019/20 academic year only and is subject to room availability. The minimum tenancy period is 39 weeks.
  4. To be eligible for the offer, customers must use the Refer a Friend link on the Student Roost website to generate a code and pass that code to their friend to include in their 2019/20 booking application. Your friend will need to enter a valid Refer a Friend code at the time of booking for you to be rewarded.
  5. Customers will only qualify for a voucher once their friend’s 2019/20 booking has completed. For a booking to complete your friend must have accepted the terms of the 2019/20 tenancy agreement and paid the booking deposit and any applicable cooling off or cancellation period must have expired without your friend giving Student Roost notice of cancellation.
  6. Existing customers who are in rent arrears or who are otherwise in breach of their 2018/19 tenancy agreement are not eligible for this offer.
  7. Student Roost employees and their families are not eligible for this offer.
  8. This offer excludes bookings for the 2019/20 academic year referred through a nomination agreement or a referral agreement or an agent.
  9. Student Roost reserves the right to substitute the Amazon voucher with an alternative voucher of equal value if for any reason it is unable to procure an Amazon voucher. No cash alternative is available.
  10. The voucher will be sent directly to the qualifying customer within 45 days of their friend’s 2019/20 booking having completed. Use of the voucher is subject to the terms and conditions of the voucher issuing organisation. Student Roost is not liable for any loss or damage arising out of the customer’s use of the voucher.
  11. This offer is only applicable to the person introducing a friend who subsequently makes a 2019/20 booking with Student Roost and is non-transferable.
  12. There is no limit to the number of friends a customer may refer to Student Roost. Customers cannot benefit from this offer if the friend they have referred has already been referred by another customer or if the tenancy length is less than 39 weeks.
  13. Student Roost reserves the right to limit this offer to prevent unusual use and abuse. Where Student Roost suspects unusual use or abuse it reserves the right to suspend a customer’s right to the offer.
  14. This offer may be applied in conjunction with the Super Roost Boost offer, subject to availability and the terms and conditions of the Super Roost Boost offer.

Super Roost Boost

Existing residents who refer 10 or more friends to live with Student Roost during the 2019/20 academic year will be entitled to receive an Amazon Alexa and will also be entered into a prize draw to win either a year’s free rent or a £3,000 Contiki travel voucher, subject to these terms and conditions.

  1.  This offer is open from 12 February 2019 to 31 August 2019.
  2. Customers who refer 10 or more friends during the offer period will receive an Amazon Alexa. They will also be entered into a prize draw to win either a discount off their booking with Student Roost for the 2019/20 academic year with a value equivalent to the annual rent or a Contiki travel voucher with a value of £3,000.
  3. The offer is open to current Student Roost residents with a 2018/19 tenancy agreement. To qualify for the offer your friends must not currently have a 2019/20 booking in a Student Roost property. The offer cannot be applied retrospectively to customers whose friends have already booked.
  4. This offer is available for new bookings for the 2019/20 academic year only and is subject to room availability. The minimum tenancy period is 39 weeks.
  5. You must use the Refer a Friend link on the Student Roost website to generate a code and pass that code to your friends to include in their 2019/20 booking application. Your friends will need to enter a valid Refer a Friend code at the time of booking for you to be rewarded.
  6. Customers will only qualify for an Amazon Alexa and entry into the prize draw once ten friends have completed bookings with Student Roost for the 2019/20 academic year. For a booking to complete your friend must have accepted the terms of the 2019/20 tenancy agreement and paid the booking deposit and any applicable cooling off or cancellation period must have expired without your friend giving Student Roost notice of cancellation.
  7. Existing customers who are in rent arrears or who are otherwise in breach of their 2018/19 tenancy agreement are not eligible for this offer.
  8. Student Roost employees and their families are not eligible for this offer.
  9. This offer excludes bookings for the 2019/20 academic year referred through a nomination agreement or a referral agreement or an agent.
  10. Student Roost reserves the right to substitute the Amazon Alexa with an alternative item of equal value if for any reason it is unable to procure an Amazon Alexa. No cash alternative is available.
  11. Student Roost will contact customers who qualify for an Amazon Alexa by email within four weeks of completion of the tenth valid booking. The Amazon Alexa must be collected in person from reception at the Student Roost property where the customer is a resident. This offer is non-transferable.
  12. There is only one prize to win in the prize draw. The winner may choose either to receive a discount off their booking with Student Roost for the 2019/20 academic year with a value equivalent to the annual rent (“a year’s free rent”) or a Contiki travel voucher with a value of £3,000 (“Contiki voucher”). No cash alternative is available.
  13. Student Roost reserves the right to substitute the Contiki  voucher with an alternative voucher of equal value if for any reason it is unable to procure a Contiki voucher.
  14. Only one entry into the prize draw per qualifying customer is permitted. The winner will be chosen by random draw performed by a computer process on 14 October 2019. The winner will be notified by email within two weeks of the draw date. If the winner chooses to receive a year’s free rent as their prize it will be awarded as a one-off discount and will be applied as a credit to their account with Student Roost. If the winner chooses to receive a Contiki voucher they will be asked to provide their postal address so that we can arrange delivery of the prize. The postal address will only be used for the purposes of prize delivery. The Contiki voucher will be sent within 30 days of notification of the winner’s postal address. The prize is personal to the winner and cannot be transferred to any other person.
  15. The decision of Student Roost regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  16. There is no limit to the number of friends a customer may refer to Student Roost. Customers cannot benefit from this offer if the friends they have referred have already been referred by another customer or if the tenancy length is less than 39 weeks.
  17. Student Roost reserves the right to limit this offer to prevent unusual use and abuse. Where Student Roost suspects unusual use or abuse it reserves the right to suspend a customer’s right to the offer.
