Ready to pack the car full of boxes and drive down to property? Here's what every parent needs to know.
With many of you travelling from far and wide, whether that be by car, or catching a flight, we know that suitcase space is precious, so you don’t want to bring anything that is not needed.
It’s useful to understand exactly what’s already included within the flat. Our property pages provide important information such as what’s included, bed sizes and floor space, so you know exactly what you’re working with before you leave.
You will also find more detailed information about what you need to bring within the induction. The induction must be completed prior to arrival, and contains lots of useful information about staying at Student Roost, including our all-important Key Collection Pass to reduce wait times on arrival.
If the resident is going to be living within a flat with a shared kitchen, they may wish to liaise with others before deciding what to bring. By downloading the Student Roost app, residents can connect before they arrive and get to know their neighbours. No more four washing-up bowls!
Please note that room numbers may not be issued until closer to arrival.
For anything you need to purchase prior to moving in, our partner UniKitOut provide full bedding, bathroom and kitchen packs for an exclusive price to Student Roost residents. Packs can be delivered to the property prior to arrival, and be ready and waiting for moving day, ensuring our residents have everything they need from day one, whilst freeing up that all-important suitcase space too!
We know that arriving at our properties for the first time usually follows a long journey, and our residents are keen to settle in and get to know their new homes. Arrival days are the most exciting, but also the busiest of the year, so please be patient with us. Our property teams will be working extremely hard to make sure you receive a smooth and efficient welcome to the property.
The inventory is available to complete on our residents’ Student Roost accounts. It is important that this is completed within three days of arrival and is what we will reference during mid-year Room Reviews and upon departure. We advise residents to complete this before they unpack, so they can clearly see their flat.
