What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files of information that are placed on your computer or device by the websites you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site. Our website uses cookies to help us identify you as a unique user, provide you with a good experience when you browse our website and to ensure the website performs as you expect.

Cookies may be session cookies or persistent cookies:

·       Session cookies are temporary cookies that identify and track users during a single browser session. They are only active during the time you are using the website and are deleted once you leave the website.

·       Persistent cookies enable a website to remember who you are and to remember your preferences. They stay on your computer or device after your browser has been closed and last for the time specified in the cookie. They are typically used to enhance your experience of the website.

To find out more about cookies, including how to manage and delete them, please visit www.aboutcookies.org.uk or www.allaboutcookies.org

·       Analytical/Performance cookies – These cookies allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors to our website and to see how such visitors navigate our website when they are using it and if they experience any errors. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily. These cookies don’t collect information that identifies a visitor.

·       Functionality cookies – These cookies are used to recognise you when you return to our website. This enables us to remember your preferences. The information these cookies collect may be anonymised and they cannot track your browsing activity on other websites.
