How do I check in?

Want to find out more about what happens on moving day and how to get your key card? Read on.

You’ve had a long journey and you’re ready to check into your new home with Student Roost.

If you follow our guide below, you’ll be checked-in and settled in no time.

  1. Arrive on your tenancy start date
Logged onto your Student Roost online account? You can find your tenancy start and end dates in your Tenancy Agreement. The start date is your move in date and the date in which payments will start from, so where possible, try to arrive on the start date to ensure you’re getting the best from your living experience straight away.

  2. Inform the property team if you are going to be arriving later than your start date
If you’re going to arrive later, due to plans changing or unforeseen circumstances, it’s a good idea to let your property team know your new anticipated arrival date.

  3. Reception is the place to be
On check-in day, you’ll need to head straight to your property’s reception so they can mark you as arrived, give you any documents and information you might need, and show you the way to your new room, aka your new home!

  4. Don’t add delays to your check-in
If you complete your online induction (available on your portal ahead of your check-in date) then you’ll have the smoothest arrival experience. You’ll be able to show your fast-track key pass, collect anything you need from reception, and start unpacking and settling in faster than you can say hello.

You can find more information on what to do before you arrive here, so your check-in experience is as smooth as possible and you can focus on living.
